Dehradun: St Joseph Open Tennis Championship was held at St Joseph Tennis Academy from 21 st April to 23 rd April 2023 which was organized by St Joseph Tennis Academy in collaboration with Uttarakhand Sports Federation. A total of 150 participants from various schools of Dehradun like St Joseph’s Academy, The Doon School, Welham Boys , The Heritage School , Convent of Jesus and Mary, St Thomas College , The Aryan School etc took part in the Tournament. The result are as follow :- Boys U-6 Singles Category – Winner Anay Lohani and Runners up Abeer Sahani. Among Boys U-8 Singles -Winner Aarav Verma and Runners up was shared by Satvik Bhattacharya and Pranay Oberoi,Boys and Girls U- 10– Winner Shivansh Rawat and Runners up Siddhima Mishra.
Among Girls U-12 Singles – Winner Purvi Patwa and runners up – Mahira Bhatia,Girls U-14 Singles Winner -Mahira Bhatia and Runners up Purvi Patwa . Girls Open Category Winner – Mahira Bhatia and Runners –up Adeeti Arora, Boys U-12 Singles Category Winner – Bhavyam Agarwal and Runners –up Arnav Garg, Boys U-14 Category Winner Ashwin Chauhan and Runners up – Arunav Kharpude, Boys U-16 Category Winner Sachin Kumar and Runners -up Rishikesh Tyer Boys U-18 Singles Category Riyan Dutta and Runners up Naivedya Mittal Mens Open Singles Category Winner Varun and Runners Up Sachin Kumar.
Prize distribution was held on 23 rd April 2023. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Shri Shoorvir Singh Chauhan, Director, Survey of India and Shri Lokesh Chugh who distributed the Prizes and Certificates . The Tournament was successfully organized by Mr Rajiv Yadav, Tournament Director, Mr Pradeep Pant, Tournament Referee, Monish Ahmed and Ashok Bhandari under the able guidance of Bro Jeyaseelan , Principal St Joseph’s Academy.
