19th December 2022, Dehradun: The 7th Annual Sports Day of Tula’s International School was organized within the school premises today. The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Regional Officer of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Dehradun, Ranveer Singh, while the Guest of Honor was the National Volleyball Player, Mohit Bheem Sherawat. The guests were felicitated with Tula’s stole and souvenir by the Headmaster, Mrigank Pandey.
The Sports meet commenced with the Sports Torch proudly led by the Sports Captain Yasir Tabrez and members of the school cabinet. This was followed by the ceremonial March Past. Thereafter, the Chief Guest declared the sports meet open. Yasir Taprez administered the Oath of Austerity to the students.
The school band gave an impressive musical presentation. This was followed by the 100 mt race, 200 mt race, and other fun races. Zumba dance, PT display, dumbell exercise display, and aerobics captivated the hearts of the audience. Later a set of relay races were held, which was followed by Yoga, a Pyramid presentation, and a March drill. The Tug of War was held between the Spartan and Olympian Houses, wherein the Olympian House emerged as the winner. The Taekwondo students also presented a special show which captivated the audience. In his address, Chief Guest Ranveer Singh congratulated the students for the wonderful show and motivated the students to do excellently well in the forthcoming Board Examinations.
The 7th Annual Sports Meet came to a close with house-wise March Past and prize distribution ceremony. Yasir Taprez and Anusha Mishra were declared the ‘Player of the Year 2022’ in the senior category, whereas Manasvibha and Sahil Raj were declared the ‘Player of the Year 2022’ in the junior category. The Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by the Trojan house, whereas the Olympian house was awarded the Runner-up Trophy. The Best March Past Trophy was lifted by the Spartan house, whereas the Titan House was awarded the Best Disciplined House Trophy. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Dean of Sports, Sandeep Dutta.
